Pagdi (Turban) or Safa (Turban with Tail)

On hearing these two names, somewhere the picture of Rajasthan starts roaming in the mind. Rajasthan's heritage is associated with Safa or Pagdi.

First of all, I will tell you the difference between Safa and Pagdi. Tying a cloth or towel on the head in a special way is called a Pagdi (Turban). The length of the cloth can be from 1 meter to 9 meters. There are different styles of wrapping turbans in different places. In Jodhpur, the cloth is divided like a rope and wrapped around the head, which is usually called Phenta. The turban in which the cloth hangs like a tail at the back of the waist is called Safa (Turban with Tail).
